Bubble Busting Brats!

That's right I said it!

I know what you are thinking, I am ALWAYS bitch, pissing and moaning that they are growing up too fast... I get it...

As a mom we look forward and cherish our children's firsts, from their first word to their first college roommate and EVERYTHING in between.

As a mom of 3 you STILL cherish these little milestones in their lives for each one because let's face it... ALL kids are different. They each have things they are excited for in life and then there are some that when mommy makes a HUGE deal out of it they insert the eye roll and scream inside "Really?!"

Needless to say my little mommy bubble has been busted this week....

My older two girls have "come of age" to do certain lady things like shave their legs, expect visits from Aunt Flo and wear bras....

The hubby and I are ready to turn back time but honestly I was so VERY excited to "teach" the middle one how to shave this week...

I dedicated time last year with the oldest to "teach" her and she was SO NOT thrilled at the process... with my middle daughter being more girly and all things grown up I KNEW we would have a better bonding experience with this life lesson of being a girl...

Well I was...

WRONG!

Apparently Miss Nosey Britches paid attention to D's lessons last year...

I went to show her and she was like ok I got this you can leave now....

UGH!
REALLY?!

BUBBLE BUSTED!

I was whining to the hubby she took all my mommy glory...
I am PRETTY sure he rolled his eyes at me...

So I walked away and what do I see out of the corner of my eye I pass by the middle ones room?

My 7 year old trying on big sisters bras...

COME ON NOW!

She was also in and out watching her sister shave
(I make them shave on the edge of the tub with shorts on for any possible skin removal that may occur)

Then asking when she could start... I told her she had about 5 years and she looked at me like I was the crazy one...

Sigh...

My "babies" are no longer babies, they are growing up...
into...
bubble busting brats I tell ya!

Here are the culprits...

Oldest Bubble Buster and the Ring Leader!

My Youngest and soon to be the Pro Bubble Buster...

The Middle Bubble Buster currently taking all of my mommy glory!

Celebration recap!

First I have to say that I am SO sorry we are so behind on the blog!
For some odd reason I have not been able to access our blog... Got to LOVE technology right?

SO here we are again able to get a post in... what a better way to start then to share our weekend experience with you all.

As you all saw last weekend it was my middle daughters birthday and we were delaying the celebration to mash it in with my dirty (coughs) 30 and our house warming party.

I took the 4th off in order to be able to fully enjoy the day celebrating so many milestones in our life.
I have not had a Saturday off since I started back work and I was so thankful that I did!

We were very blessed to enjoy our night with many friends and family even though we were missing so many key people our thoughts were with them!

We enjoyed a spaghetti dinner, drinks, laughter, gifts and most important CAKE!

Here is a recap in pics!

Enjoy!

I totally slacked a photographer this weekend! :(

Thank you to everyone who called, texted, came by, Facebook-ed and made our special days even more special! We are VERY blessed!

Hidden Tresures in an Older Home

According to online our "new" home was built in 1954 making it 60 years old this year.
The hubby and I LOVE older houses that have character and include a little TLC needed. I am an addict to projects of any kind and this house defiantly gives us those things.
One reason we love older homes is that there are ALWAYS some sort of hidden treasure or two within the home.
We are lucky enough to have 5 just inside!

In our kitchen we have three alone!
The first is some great drawers that are deep and perfect for our school lunch station!

In the hallway we have access to an attic space! I wwish it was big enough to covert into a room of son kind... like a missing office space BUT I am thrilled to have the extra indoor storage! ;) Guess where all my home decor is going!
Oh bathroom has the awesome drawer hidden away. Apprently it was intended for dirty clothes BUT we have utilized it for a hidden TP holder... can you tell its the 7 year olds chore to put it away lol

The kitkitchen also has a built in cookbook holder! Perfect for this mamma who only pretends she knows what's shes doing in the kitchen.  :)
The last hidden treasure we offer is a hidden lazy susan. I am not sure how we will utilize this or of we will eventually take it out but we do love the fact that it is there...

What hidden treasures does your home have?

Which Do You Prefer and Why Wednesday

So I asked my fellow readers and Facebook friends to shoot me some categories for this post this week. Thank you to everyone who helped!

So Which Do I Prefer and Why:

My friend Janelle from Texas asked:

Crinkle fries vs curly fries:

I totally am a fan of curly fries! LOVE these things!

Winter vs summer:

Totally a Summer fan over the winter!

Scary movies vs comedy:

Comedy by far takes over. I am not a fan of scary movies at ALL!

Feather pillow vs not feather pillow:

I have both and LOVE them as a matter of fact we have about 15 pillows on our bed!

My friend Amy from Mobile Alabama asked:

Cold Weather vs Hot Weather:

Neither really lol I am a very climate controlled person lol but if I had to choose.. hot would win!

My friend Megan from High School out in Cali asked:

Wal-Mart vs Target:

I was raised as a Target baby and needless to say my heart will always be.. BUT I do happen to work for Wal-Mart...

Auto Zone vs O'Reilly's:

Auto Zone is who we use the most and honestly that is due to the fact that AZ is the hubbies choice :)

Android vs Apple:

So I have both... Android for work.. Apple for personal... LOVE both...

Starbucks vs Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf:

I would say Starbuck would win because we don't have a CB and TL here...
We do have a Dunkin Donuts but over all SB's still wins...

My Best Friend Mia from So Cal asks:

Sun vs. snow

SUN shine! Snow is only good for 24 hours then I am ready for it to melt away

Sports vs. reading

Wait reading isn't a sport? damn...

Reading is my thing I have NEVER been athletic... ever....

Running vs walking

I LOVED running about 20 years ago, but now I am OLD so walking it is!

Superheroes vs princesses:

Superheroes by far! Even my girls would agree with this one!

Flowers vs swords

Ok so I like flowers and I like swords... ??? I am not sure where Mia was going with this one LOL

Tatted Tuesday: Seeing Stars

If you know me you know I am a HUGE flip flop lover and its a COLD day in Arkansas when I am not wearing them.
Since I am also obsessed with ink I found it fitting to add some flair to my foot. :)

I wanted sonething timeless and fitting and I will utilizing it into a tattoo piece with meaning. It is unfinished as of now until I figure out if this piece will stand for my siblings OR my godbabies.
This tat is about 5 years old and I still cant decide. :/ I also cant decide if I want to flip the design and do my other foot... hmmm... choices...

This Iink work was done in Headland Alabama and at a shop called Notorious ink. The artist was named Billie and he has done a few tats for our family. This particular time my sister in law also got her foot inked with a similar design. If I remember right also my brother in laws and hubby also got thier ink fix in with new ink that night. The shop is no longer open though but if you are in the area head into Dothan where there are plenty of shops ready to ink you!

Location of tat: Right foot
Design: Stars
Pain scale: 6!
What can I say I have NO meat there and I could feel this so much more woth my nerves being so close to the skin. I even jumped when they hit a certain spot!
To me this was the worst pain wise out of of my ink...
Which maybe why I have not been able to decide on the final details!

As you all saw on Friday here on the blog we celebrated my middle daughter Lo who turned11. Since we are having a housewarming party this coming up weekend and celebrating my dirty 30 she was kind enough to wait. So I surprised her with cupcakes and my bestie Tracy came by and brought her a small gift to open... it was make up of course ;)

We also have been working on some more house cleaning and yard cleaning not only for the party coming up but to turn our house into our home.

Other than that we didnt really do much but relaxed and enjoyed our "babies"!

It's Been How Many Years?: A Birthday Tribute

This last week has been a BUSY one for birthdays in our family. The 23rd was my dads, yesterday was my god-daughters/neices and tomorrow is my middle daughters!

I am not really sure why they all couldn't sync and have birthdays on the same day but God wanted this week to be full of celebrating life and boy let me tell you if we didnt all live in different states we would be FULL of cake and of course aged liquor (you know for dad)...

My "lil" Lo is turning the ripe old age of 11 and it seems to have gone by so very very fast!

Her birth story is one I will never forget (my only all natural no drugs no epidural cane on her own time baby)
She has grown to be such a sweet, sassy, smart little mamma and I couldn't be prouder!

Lo is the rock out of my three girls. She is the peace keeper, the mamma (or so she thinks) when I am not home and the most helpful thing when I need an extra pair of hands.

She isn't a fighter but a lover and wears her heart on her sleeve.
TOTAL opposite of my other two.

She is my dare devil and my go getter.

She is my mini me (personality wise)

My world would never be complete with iut this child of mine and thiugh she was unexpected she is SO VERY VERY VERY much needed in this mammals life!

To my sweet Lo,
May your life bring you more joy than you have brought me, may you continue to love with all your heart and NEVER stop dreaming. No matter what life brings your way always know mommy is here. You are so very special to every life that you touch and I could not be prouder to call you my daughter.

Here are some pictures of Lo from the last 11 years!
Here is to many more!
