Welcoming Wednesday: Meet Abby!

I have to take a moment to give a congratulatory shout out to my cousin Nathan and his wife Maricela!

 Yesterday they were blessed with thier first child as Abby entered the world and into this crazy family we all know and love. 

Congrats to you both on your best accomplishment in life. 

Here is to the many years of drama, boys, and fashion headed your way! The giggles and tears will be endless.

You two are an amazing couple and I know you will both be even better as parents! 

I am so excited for you all and your new journey. I wish I could be closer to watch her grow into the beautiful young woman I know she will be but never forget I am only a phone call, text message or FB message away of you ever need anything!

 I am so proud of you both and honored to be apart of her life. I can't wait til the day we can meet her! I love you 3 very much!!! Miss you all even more! Here is to the new parents, may God grant you patience, laughter, and an amazing support team! 

Congrats again to you both and welcome lil Miss Abby!!!!

Tatted Tuesday: A Surviviors Tribute...

After I FB post I am so overwhelmed with the response that I have received with everyone's amazing ink work and stories that go with them!

 

Some post will now include individual tats that where shared and others will feature people with multiple tats and multiple stories since I was so very blessed with a HUGE amount of material for the series.

My sister's childhood bestie was gracious enough to share her ink.

 

This one is not only a special one to her but it hits home with me also as I know her mom and we spend SEVERAL years of our childhood with this girlie almost daily!

 

 

She is like a sister to us both and though we had lost touch after moving as teens this woman will always have a special place in my heart and I am sure my sister's too.

Last April she went in to receive the ink after learning her mom had cancer. Her mom is now cancer free for a little over a year!

Thanksgiving Feast: Our 2014 Plans

When you move away from family the holidays seem to add a heavier weight to your heart. Until 3 years ago we never had to wonder what we were doing for the holidays we already knew. Our biggest hurtle was figuring outof what we were contiburlting that year and how to fit all the places in one day. 

Since we are no longer close to our families physically we now have to decide what to do...

luckily we have met some amazing people (the bestie Tracy) in the area and we have been invited to join thier family for the second year this Turkey day. 

We will be filling our bellies and enjoying our extended family Sunday since three of us gals work overnight. 

They do a potluck style and everyone contributes a few dishes for us all to share.

I am bringing truffles (peanut butter and oreo) some veggies and drinks :) 

I cant wait to be surrounded by this amazing family Sunday!

Usin...g her second child, Gus, as a mocc-tester, and a bag of scrap leather she picked up at a yard sale, she began experimenting with designs. Working at her kitchen table, on a shoestring budget, Susan persisted through some disastrous attempts until she had created a pair of moccasins that not only looked adorable on Gus’ chubby little feet, but stayed on his feet as well.

The ladies over at Freshly Picked were kind enough to share a pair of their handmade moccs with Boo for us to enjoy!

There is something about this kid that is very PICKY about her shoes and what can I say these were a hit!

Tips and Tricks Thursday: Fitting it all in...

When your a mom of 3 girls all school age its is a full time job...

add a marriage... full time job #2 is on your resume...

Then you add your full time retail job... we are up to 3 

Mix in part time student and freelance photographer you add two part times and make the count to 4 full times...

Then adding your two small buisnesses your building...well we are up to 6 full time jobs in a 20 hour period...

I only count 20 because I sleep for 4...

You may think I am totally insaine to take this all on but I honestly love it. 

I also did not count my blogs, house cleaning, errands, appointments and everything else required to function..

Time management is my BFF. 

I also am addicted to To Do Lists, my planner, and the goal of reaching a better life for me and the family. 

Since I work  over night my days start usually around noon... 

now I won't lie there are days where I get called to wake up at 2:45 because I over slept but its rare...

When I get home I start on the blog or on homeowrk until 8-8:30 then its off to dream land.
 Since the paper is as needed bases I squeeze it in as needed.

When I wake up its finishing up homework and cleaning up the house until 3 when I go get the kiddies from school.

Then its time for homework for them and I start working on laundry dinner and utilize my smart phone to do stuff for the biz...

Then I sneak in time with the hubby and get the girls ready for school the next day. Around 8:30 I get ready to go to work until 7am...

On my off days its a race to get caught up in everything I didnt get accomplished that week or try to get a head start on the next week.
Since I work on weekends I sleep a few hours during the day.
The hubby and kids take this time to do a few chores around the house to help lessen the load on mommy... I ♡ it!

Its nice to wake up and not see a million things to be cleaned.

Since we are only 3 months into this new routine I am still working on making this schedule work for us. I still try different sleep schedules to see what benifits us the best as a family and things I can do to help us all pitch in to help each other.

After a thanksgiving break I wilk be introducing chores for the kids and ways for them to earn treats for helping.

Stay tuned on how that pans out...

My 5 Latest Addictions:

As much as I would just like to say my only addiction right now is being in a warm place with our VERY early winter weather this year I would be lying. :)

Thanks to the freezing weather I had  3 addictions to add this time :)

 

 

 

Aquafina Lip Balm:

 

 

 

With winter making her presents known early this year we have been feeling the pain of dry lips!

Mine got so bad it busted open in my sleep and started to bleed :(

I am NOT a huge lip wear gal and 99.99% of the time (even if I do apply makeup) I do not wear ANYTHING on my lips. I am just not a fan of it anymore.

 

I do however LOVE these! It goes on smooth and silky and I don't feel like I sticky toddler... which my friends is a great thing! Another thing that I love about this is that they come in a 4 pack for less than $3!!! Hell yeah!

 

When your a mom of three girls.... there is one for you each :)

 

 

O'Keeffe's Working Hands:

Originally we hunted down this stuff for the hubby. He is an electrician and when outside in the elements and working with your hands needless to say they don't always stay so purty...

 

We found this at Lowe's in the Paint Department but I have also seen it at The Home Depot.

It is a little pricy BUT WELL WORTH IT!

 

Since I am working overnight I started to use it too this winter, cardboard and girly hands are never going to be BFF's. The cardboard dries out your skin and cuts your hands and by the end of your 9 hours you have lost the fight against boxes...

 

Laugh if you will it is true!

 

 

Now when you add freezing temps outside we are in a WHOLE NEW problem, we now add dry cracking bleeding hands on top of dryness from cardboard...

 

But this stuff is AMAZING!

It last a while too so it is worth every penny!

I LOVE music and all kinds of it, Since I am home all day by my lonesome when I am not asleep and I listening to my friends like Queen, The Beatles, Selena Gomez, Linkin Park, Florida Georgia Line, Marilyn Manson, Gold Finger, Sublime and Pink serenade me through out my daily to dos...  Thank you Slacker!

Chalkboard Products:

 

I am LOVING the chalkboard trend right now, I don't know why this is not something I didn't think about but it is ENGENIOUS!

 

I would have this stuff everywhere!

 

My husband is rolling his eyes and waiting out the trend, while he is wondering how he could kill it himself I am sure.

 

I have them in the kitchen mainly but I hope to add a few items in the girls rooms soon too...

Tatted Tuesday: Forever Daddy's Girl

When you become an ink addict it is almost like there is an unwritten law about adding a dedicated tat for your child and or children once you have reached that point in your life.

This is a fact not only for my self (I will be sharing my ink that is dedicated to my children soon) but also for my hubby and thousands of other parents out there!


After our youngest daughter was born I knew it wouldn't be much longer before it would be time to visit the tattoo shop for a new addition..

Off we went to see Jeff at Forbidden Images in Downtown Dothan Alabama.

He chose to go with an Old English Script with shaded letters instead of solid....
